Veteran outfielder Torii Hunter agreed to return to the Twins on Tuesday, taking a one-year contract worth $10.5 million to go back to the team he started his MLB career with.On Wednesday, Hunter's signing became official and he held an introductory press conference with the local beat reporters. The presser took an unfortunate and unexpected turn when a reporter asked Hunter a non-baseball question:
Torii Hunter just called Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press a "prick" when he asked about Hunter's past quotes on gay marriage.

Now, to be fair, no player will be happy about being asked non-baseball questions during a press conference. Hunter definitely could have handled that better though. For what it's worth, Bernardino brushed off the insult and continued to do his job:
Torii on marriage question: "It's not even a baseball question." Says his thoughts are already known. "

Long-time MLB umpire Dale Scott came out as gay in a recent magazine article. He's the first active umpire in pro sports to come out as gay. Hunter has been very open about his opposition to gay marriage over the years. Mike Axisa/CBS Sports
