Another week, another player suspended for 80 games following a failed test for performance-enhancing drugs. But this time the player is no All-Star -- or even someone on an active roster.

Dodgers' Josh Ravin hit with 80-game suspension after failing PED test

Rather, it's Dodgers reliever Josh Ravin, who is currently on the disabled list with a broken non-throwing arm.
From MLB:

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Josh Ravin has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2 (GHRP-2), a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension of Ravin is effective immediately.

Ravin, for those unfamiliar, is a 28-year-old with limited big-league exposure. He pitched in nine games last season, albeit poorly, as he allowed nearly two baserunners per inning. There's no questioning Ravin's arm strength -- his fastball averaged 98 mph, per Brooks Baseball -- but his woeful command has led to consistently high walk rates.
Ravin is the sixth big-league player, joining Dee Gordon and Chris Colabello among others, to be suspended this season for a failed PED test. Ravin won't be eligible to return until late in the season.
