NEW YORK -AP- The Los Angeles Dodgers and their fans took over Yankee Stadium on a night of costly errors by New York's Baby Bombers.Aaron Judge dropped Chase Utley's fly ball to the right-field warning track and catcher Gary Sanchez threw wildly to second base, leading to four unearned runs that helped the NL West-leading Dodgers beat the AL wild-card chasing Yankees 8-2 in Monday's series opener. Jose De Leon (2-0) won in his second big league start, and fellow rookieCorey Seager singled twice and drove in a run on the former field of his childhood hero, Derek Jeter.Yasiel Puig pinch hit in the eighth and drove an opposite-field home run over the right-field short porch, and Justin Turner homered to nearly the same spot in the ninth, his 27th this season.Los Angeles (81-62) entered with a three-game lead over second-place San Francisco. The Yankees (76-67) lost their second straight following a seven-game winning streak, remained two games behind Baltimore for the AL's second wild card and dropped one game back of Detroit.Several hundred Los Angeles fans in the left-field corner of the lower deck, most dressed in Dodger blue, cheered loudly when their players were introduced, and they emulated the Yankees Stadium Bleacher Creatures' Roll Call of starters in the bottom of the first. They also unfurled a large blue-and-white "LA" banner over their heads in the manner of soccer supporters in the third, prompting boos from the majority of the crowd of 32,058, and they raised a second banner during the seventh-inning stretch. The group calls itself Pantone 294 -- named after the Dodgers' official color tone -- and arrived from the West Coast on six flights, according to its website.Dodgers-Yankees is among baseball's most prestigious interleague matchups, with New York winning eight of 11 World Series meetings. The Dodgers, who left Brooklyn for Los Angeles after the 1957 season, made their only prior regular-season trip to Yankee Stadium in 2013, splitting a doubleheader.Judge, a 6-foot-7 slugger who made his debut Aug. 13, tried for a backhand grab on Utley's fly to the right-center gap with two on in the second. He looked briefly at center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury as they approached, as if trying to avoid a collision, and allowed the ball to kick off his glove as two runs scored. Seager followed with an RBI single for a 4-1 lead.Sanchez, who has sparked the Yankees since 13 homers since his Aug. 13 callup, exhausted his rookie status Monday and made a rare poor throw. With runners at the corners in the fourth, Howie Kendrick took off for second and Sanchez's throw tailed from shortstop Ronald Torreyes and bounced into center, allowing Josh Reddick to come home from third. Kendrick had driven in a run with a squib single.De Leon, a 24-year-old right-hander from Puerto Rico, beat San Diego on Sept. 4 in big league debut, the 15th starting pitcher used by the Dodgers this season. A Boston Red Sox fan in his youth, De Leon allowed two runs and three hits in five innings.Bryan Mitchell (1-1), making his second start after missing five months with a toe injury, gave up six runs -- two earned -- and eight hits in 2 1/3 innings.Judge hit a 436-foot homer over the Yankees bullpen and into the left-field bleachers in the fifth. Tyler Austin struck out four times.THAT STEALFirst-year Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was at Yankee Stadium for the first time since the 2004 AL Championship Series at the old ballpark. Bill Mueller following with a tying single off Mariano Rivera, the Red Sox won in 12 innings and went on to take the pennant. "I'm not well received at the airport when I make my way into New York-LaGuardia, JFK," Roberts said.PLATE ROTATIONAdrian Gonzalez was the Dodgers' DH, and Andre Ethier and Turner are scheduled for DH days during the remainder of the series.HE'S BACKPuig has three homers in 14 at-bats since his return from the minors.
