The Marlins have agreed to terms with veteran catcher A.J. Ellis on a one-year deal for $2.5 million, a source told ESPN's Buster Olney.
Ellis, 35, hit .216 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies this past season.

He notably served as Clayton Kershaw's personal catcher for years in Los Angeles.
Ellis was the longest tenured Dodgers player (13 years in organization) at the time of his August trade to Philadelphia.
