So, it never rains in southern California, huh? Tell that to the San Diego Padres.

The grounds crew doesn’t expect the field to suffer any damage from the standing water and there already were plans to put down new sod later this week, according to FOX 5 in San Diego. The Padres’ home opener is set for Friday, April 7 against the San Francisco Giants. Let’s hope it’s a sunny afternoon.
