The Yankees have agreed to the parameters of a deal to acquire coveted left-hander J.A. Happ from the Blue Jays, a source told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi.
MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reported that Toronto is expected to receive infielder Brandon Drury and outfield prospect Billy McKinney, the Yankees' No. 20 prospect.
The teams were originally reported to be close to a deal by the New York Post's Joel Sherman. The teams have not commented on a potential trade.
Happ is 10-6 with a 4.18 ERA in 20 starts for the Blue Jays. Of note, he's been particularly good against the Red Sox in his career; he has a 0.84 ERA in two starts against them this season and has gone 7-4 with a 2.98 ERA in 19 games (18 starts) vs. Boston.
