The Braves and second baseman Ozzie Albies agreed to a seven-year, $35 million contract with two club options on Thursday. The contract runs through 2025, and MLB Network insider Joel Sherman reports that the options for '26 and '27 are worth $7 million each with $4 million buyouts.
Albies, an All-Star in 2018, was slated to be eligible for arbitration for the first time after the 2020 season.
