On Friday night, Astros prospect Delino DeShields Jr. was the unlucky recipient of a 90 mph fastball to the face during a Double-A game. He managed to walk off the field under his own power, but anytime we're talking about a fastball up around the head, it is scary stuff. Here's the aftermath: Part of me believes that can't be real, that someone went overboard with Photoshop. Man, that is brutal. I would never play baseball again if that happened to me. I'd retire on the spot. Here is the official word on DeShields' injury:   DeShields, 21, was the eighth overall pick in the 2010 draft. He hit .317/.405/.468 with 25 doubles, 14 triples, five home runs and 51 steals at Single-A last season. Mike Axisa/CBS Sports
