San Francisco radio station KFOG says it has removed Lorde's 2013 hit "Royals" from its playlist rotation for the duration of the World Series as a show of support for the hometown Giants as they take on the Kansas City Royals.

Lorde has said in the past that the chorus' inspiration came from a photo in a National Geographic magazine of Kansas City great George Brett signing baseballs for fans. SI Extra Mustard
