The Marlins have found another power bat to complement superstar Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup, agreeing to a two-year contract with free-agent slugger Michael Morse.
FOXSports.com was the first to report that the sides were close on Tuesday morning, and the Miami Herald reported the terms of the agreement. A source has confirmed to MLB.com that it will be a two-year contract, pending a physical.

Michael Morse agrees to two-year deal with Marlins

The club has not confirmed the deal.
Morse, 32, has played primarily outfield in his days in the National League with Washington and San Francisco, but made 43 appearances at first base last season and could be useful at that position for the Marlins.
In 131 games for the Giants last year, Morse hit .279 with 16 homers and 61 RBIs. He's hit at least 12 homers in each of the last five seasons.
