Veteran slugger Adam Dunn will carry through with his plans to retire, agent Brian Peters confirmed to CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman. Dunn announced in late August his plans to retire following the 2014 season.
The 35-year-old Dunn calls it a career after 14 seasons in the majors. He hit .237, but he finishes with a .364 on-base percentage, .490 slugging percentage and .854 OPS.

He also totaled 462 home runs in 2,001 career games.
Dunn played for the White Sox and Athletics in 2014. He played most of his career with the Reds, but he also played for the Nationals and Diamondbacks.
