Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth will serve five days in jail after pleading guilty to reckless driving in July.
Werth also loses his driver's license for six months.
The Washington Post first reported the story.
On Dec. 5, Werth was originally convicted of reckless driving and sentenced to 10 days in jail, but appealed the verdict. The charge was reduced when he entered a guilty plea.

Werth will serve his sentence on weekends, so he can continue to rehab his shoulder surgery.
Werth was pulled over on July 6 on the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County, Va., for driving 105 mph in a 55-mph zone, according to court records.
"I-495 is not a racetrack," Fairfax County General District Court Judge Penney Azcarate said at the sentencing.
The judge added that the sentencing would have been the same regardless of "what a person does for a living."
