Richmond Flying Squirrels will host Jaws Night

There’s been a ton of talk this off season about themed uniforms and stadium promotions. So much, that it would probably be easier to make a list of teams not having a “Stars Wars” night.

That said, this promotion is a winner.

I know, I’ve said it already (most notably, here and here), but the Richmond Flying Squirrels might have stumbled upon the best specialty jersey for the 2015 season. And, yeah, I know what you’re thinking…outside of this summer marking the 40^th anniversary of the Steven Spielberg classic, what does the movie “Jaws” have to do with Richmond, Virginia?

Not. A. Thing.

So, yeah, shark week is hitting the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants for a day this June when they take on the Erie SeaWolves and, frankly, I couldn’t be happier.
