MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Jimmy Nelson struck out a career-high nine in seven innings, Jean Segura hit a two-run homer and the Milwaukee Brewers became the last team in the majors to win this season by beating the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-0 on Saturday.
Hector Gomez added a two-run single for Milwaukee, which stopped a four-game losing streak by tagging Vance Worley (0-1) for six runs and seven hits in 6 1-3 innings.
Pittsburgh played without All-Star outfielder Andrew McCutchen, who sat out as a precaution with left knee soreness.
Pitching was just as much of a problem for Pittsburgh.

Brewer beat Pirates 6-0 for first win of season

Offseason acquisition Adam Lind had his ninth hit in his fifth game with his new team, tying a club record. Khris Davis led off the fourth with a double that set up Segura's deep homer to left-center for a 5-0 lead.
Nelson (1-0) allowed two hits, and the sinkerballer benefited from two double plays.
He struggled with a 6.23 ERA in spring training - not the kind of momentum that Milwaukee was looking for from its top young starter.
On Saturday, he turned into a stopper.
At 0-4, the Brewers had been off to their worst start since 2011. Both Milwaukee and the Chicago White Sox won on Saturday, leaving every team in the majors with a win.
Nelson escaped trouble in a fifth inning that started with two walks by getting a double play.
At the plate, manager Ron Roenicke tweaked the lineup following his team's scuffling start. Lind, batting .529, hit cleanup, while Gomez got the start at second for Scooter Gennett a day after Gennett was ejected from the game for arguing with an umpire.
