TORONTO (AP) -- Danny Valencia hit a three-run homer, Kevin Pillar had a solo shot and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the New York Mets 8-0 Wednesday night behind a solid start from Drew Hutchison.Pillar went 3 for 4 with two RBIs as the Blue Jays, whose 11-game winning streak ended with Monday's 11-inning loss to the Mets at Citi Field, won the opener of a five-game homestand. Toronto is 12-3 in June.The Blue Jays lead the majors with 369 runs. Entering play Wednesday, Arizona was second with 291.The Mets dropped to 10-20 on the road. They've lost 12 of 15 away from home. 
Hutchison (6-1) allowed career highs of nine hits and eight runs in his previous outing, June 12 at Boston, but fared much better against the Mets. He gave up four hits in 5 2-3 innings, walked one and struck out five.Hutchison left after Michael Cuddyer's double in the sixth. Steve Delabar came on and got Travis d'Arnaud to ground out.Pillar got the Blue Jays started with a two-out RBI single off Jonathon Niese (3-7) in the second. Chris Colabello singled home Josh Donaldson after his leadoff double in the sixth.Pillar made it 3-0 with a first-pitch homer off Niese in the seventh.Niese, who allowed three runs and seven hits in seven innings, has not won in seven starts.Toronto put the game away with a five-run eighth against Akeel Morris, who was making his major league debut after getting called up Monday directly from Class A St. Lucie. Ezequiel Carrera's bunt single brought home a run, Russell Martin hit an RBI single and Valencia followed with a three-run drive to left.
