KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Royals have traded right-hander Joe Blanton to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations.Blanton, 34, was designated for assignment Tuesday, when Johnny Cueto reported to the Kansas City following his trade from Cincinnati.
