The Dodgers just finished an ugly series against the Rockies. They were swept in the three-game set and were outscored 27-15. Two wins would have clinched the NL West. Not a good weekend for the Dodgers.
That said, Los Angeles is still sitting pretty with a six-game lead in the division. Their magic number is two, meaning all it takes is one win in their upcoming four-game series with the Giants to clinch the NL West. The Dodgers are in good shape despite getting swept by the Rockies.
On their way to San Francisco following Sunday's game, the Dodgers had their annual rookie hazing event, and they made the rookies dress up as old school wrestling superstars.
The costumes are pretty good, so I can't tell who is who. I do see a Hulk Hogan though. A Rick Flair, a Hot Rod Rowdy Roddy Piper, an Iron Sheik, and I think an Ultimate Warrior as well. That's good stuff.
Now the Dodgers just need to take care of business against the Giants (i.e. win one game), and then they can really celebrate and have fun.
