Hansel Robles was suspended three games and fined by MLB for intentionally throwing at Cameron Rupp Wednesday night, the league announced.
Robles said the pitch, which had Rupp falling to the ground to avoid it, "got away." from him. It came after two Mets had been hit, including Yoenis Cespedes, who left the game after being hit in the hand. Cespedes suffered a contusion of the ring and middle finger of his left hand and missed Thursday's game.
