The Orioles claimed right-hander Vance Worley off waivers from the Pirates on Tuesday and designated righty Jorge Rondon for assignment.
Worley, 28, was 4-6 with a 4.02 ERA in 23 games (eight starts) with the Pirates in 2015. He posted a 2.83 ERA and held opponents to a .236 batting average over his 15 relief appearances.

"Vance Worley is a solid, dependable Major League pitcher with good control," Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette wrote in a text to MLB.com. "Good fielder, keeps the ball down and in the park."
Worley is 31-28 with a 3.79 ERA 104 career games (81 starts) for the Phillies, Twins and Pirates.
Rondon, 27, posted a 13.19 ERA in 10 games between the Orioles and Rockies in 2015.
