The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired right-hander Jesse Chavez from the A's in exchange for Liam Hendriks.
Chavez, 32, spent half of the 2012 season in Toronto before being traded to Oakland. He went 7-15 with a 4.18 ERA through 30 games (26 starts) in 2015, and he's eligible to become a free agent at the end of the 2016 season.

Hendriks joined the Blue Jays prior to the 2014 season but was traded to Kansas City in July of that saeson. He later returned to Toronto at the end of the year in another deal. The 26-year-old right-hander made 58 relief appearances for the Blue Jays in 2015, posting a 2.92 ERA, and is under team control for four more years.
