The Braves have agreed to terms with veteran infielder Gordon Beckham on a one-year contract worth $1.25 million, CBS Sports MLB Insider Jon Heyman confirms. Ken Rosenthal had the initial report of the deal.

Beckham, 29, is coming off a 2015 season in which he batted .209/.275/.332 (70 OPS+) in 100 games for the White Sox. Across parts of seven big-league seasons, Gordon has batted .242/.304/.372 (83 OPS+). He's capable of playing second, third, and, on occasion, shortstop.
Beckham is a native of Atlanta who attended the University of Georgia.
