The Rockies have signed right-handed reliever Adam Ottavino to a three-year contract extension worth $10.4 million, reports CBS Sports MLB Insider Jon Heyman. The deal does not include any option years.
Ottavino, 30, is currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. Heyman says his rehab is going well and he's expected back at midseason. The three-year contract covers Ottavino's final two seasons of arbitration-eligibility plus one free agent year.

From 2012-14, Ottavino emerged as a reliable late-inning reliever for Colorado, pitching to a 3.60 ERA (124 ERA+) with 9.3 K/9 in 222 1/3 innings. That includes a 3.08 ERA (143 ERA+) in 143 1/3 innings from 2013-14. Ottavino made 10 appearances in 2015 before blowing out his elbow.
The Rockies added veteran relievers Chad Qualls and Jason Motte on two-year contracts earlier this offseason. They figure to be manager Walt Weiss' primary late-inning options until Ottavino returns.
