ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays have reached an agreement on a one-year deal with Steve Pearce, according to a tweet by Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.All that remains is for Pearce to pass a physical. The club has not confirmed the deal.
Pearce hit .218 with 15 home runs and 40 RBIs for the Orioles in 2015, but he is one year removed from a .293 season in which he hit .293 with 21 home runs and 49 RBIs.Pearce will likely see time in left field, first base and at DH.
