The Angels have completed their deal with right-hander Tim Lincecum and will pay him a base salary of about $2 million for the rest of the season, a source tells MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez. MLB Network's Jon Heyman reported the news Thursday. The club has not confirmed the agreement, which also would reportedly include up to $1.7 million in incentives.
The Angels, in desperate need of pitching depth due to injuries, reportedly had been close to a deal with Lincecum since early this week.

Lincecum, 31, is coming off hip surgery and held a showcase for interested teams in Scottsdale, Ariz., on May 6. The four-time All-Star won back-to-back National League Cy Young Awards for the Giants from 2008-09, but has posted a 4.68 ERA in more than 600 innings since '12, while dealing with declining velocity and physical issues.
Still, the Angels' rotation could use reinforcements. Starters Garrett Richards and Andrew Heaney are out with torn elbow ligaments, Tyler Skaggs hit a snag in his comeback from Tommy John surgery, and C.J. Wilson is likely out until mid-June with a shoulder problem.
