BALTIMORE -- The Rays acquired outfielder Oswaldo Arcia from the Twins for cash or a player to be named later on Friday afternoon.The Rays will make a corresponding move to their 25-man roster prior to his arrival to the ballclub on Saturday. Tampa Bay designated right-hander Andrew Bellatti for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Arcia. 
Arcia is "a young player that's strong," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "Can hit the ball out of the ballpark. I think he's had plenty of opportunities in the outfield. I would see him DHing and playing some right field for us."Minnesota had designated Arcia for assignment on June 16. Twins manager Paul Molitor first learned about the trade via an email on Friday afternoon."I was hoping when we made our decision that he would go to a team where he would get an opportunity, and it turns out to be the Rays," Molitor said. "I hope he takes advantage. It's one of those situations where, like I told him, I appreciate what he did for our organization and what he gave me in terms of effort. And now, we've wiped his slate clean and we'll see how he does down there."The 25-year-old, who had spent all four of his Major League seasons with the Twins, was hitting .214 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in 32 games in 2016."I don't have a ton of knowledge about what he's been doing the past couple of days," Cash said. "I know he's put together some pretty good seasons. He's shown some power in the past."Being the Indians' bullpen coach, I saw him. He actually beat us up pretty good. Had some success, was hitting the ball out of the ballpark. Just another piece that we can mix and match with.
