Twins right-hander Vance Worley, who has been foundering this spring following a rough first year in Minnesota, has been placed on waivers, according to sources.
Worley can be claimed by anyone, but his spring hasn't exactly been an advertisement. He has a 13.50 ERA and has allowed 22 hits in 10 2/3 innings, with opposing batters hitting .415 against him.
Twins place slumping Vance Worley on waivers

Worley has been seen as a candidate to make the Twins' remade rotation, but that would appear unlikely at this point. He had a poor first season in Minnesota, going 1-5 with a 7.21 ERA after a promising beginning to his career with the Phillies. He came to Minnesota with pitching prospect Trevor May in a trade for outfielder Ben Revere.
