Brewers pick up manager Ron Roenicke's option for 2015
"In picking up the option for 2015, it shows our confidence in having Ron lead this team on the field," general manager Doug Melvin said in a statement. "Last season was a difficult one, and Ron provided critical leadership with confidence and assurance that the Brewers can get back to the postseason."
The team has a winning record in two of Roenicke's three seasons, with a single-season franchise record 96 victories in 2011. He was named the 18th manager in club history on November 4, 2010, replacing Ken Macha. In '12, he signed a contract extension through the '14 season with club options for '15 and '16.
