CLEVELAND -- The Indians' ace found his elusive first victory of the season.
Justin Masterson kept the White Sox off the board, and the Tribe took advantage of two Chicago errors to win, 2-0, on Saturday.
Masterson relied on the defense behind him to get the job done, running into little trouble early on.
Before the fifth inning, Masterson faced just one batter over the minimum, erasing runners in the second and third.

In the fifth, after Dayan Viciedo reached on Lonnie Chisenhall's throwing error, Masterson walked Jordan Danks and hit Tyler Flowers with a pitch to load the bases. Nick Swisher caught a hard liner off Marcus Semien's bat and touched first to double up Flowers and end the threat.
Masterson turned in 7 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits. He walked one and struck out six.
Cleveland made the White Sox pay for both of their defensive miscues.
In the second inning, Lonnie Chisenhall led off with a double, and he later came home when third baseman Semien couldn't handle a David Murphy infield popup.
Three frames later, Jose Ramirez laid down a bunt, getting all the way to second when Flowers overthrew first baseman Jose Abreu. Mike Aviles laid down a sacrifice bunt to get Ramirez to third, and Swisher's sac fly brought Ramirez home.
Cleveland made it back-to-back wins and will go for the series sweep Sunday.
