MILWAUKEE -- Francisco Rodriguez experienced a rare blown save in the top of the ninth inning, but Ryan Braun's two-out single in the bottom of the frame helped the Brewers beat the Rockies, 3-2, at Miller Park on Friday night.
Braun's second go-ahead RBI of the night -- he was also plunked on the backside with the bases loaded in the seventh inning -- made the Brewers the first team in baseball to reach 50 wins.

Braun's single in 9th sends Brewers by Rockies 3-2

The Brewers were two outs away from winning in the top of the ninth when Rockies second baseman Josh Rutledge connected with Rodriguez's full-count changeup and sent a tying home run to left field, just out of reach for a leaping Khris Davis.
Rodriguez's third blown save delayed his bid to tie a franchise record set in 2007 by Francisco Cordero, who notched 27 saves before the All-Star break.
Rodriguez settled for a win instead. Mark Reynolds greeted Rockies reliever Matt Belisle with a single and advanced on Jean Segura's sacrifice bunt. After Belisle intentionally walked pinch-hitter Scooter Gennett, a passed ball charged to catcher Michael McKenry moved the winning run to within 90 feet of home plate.
Rickie Weeks struck out, but Braun hit the next pitch to center field to win the game.
Brewers starter Kyle Lohse allowed one run on seven hits in seven innings and was in line to be the first Brewers pitcher to reach 10 victories before Rodriguez lost the lead.
