Well, as the age-old adage goes: Everything's bigger in Texas. And that's certainty is the case when it comes to tacos at Globe Life Park in Arlington, where the Rangers unveiled their new two-foot long monstrosity on Monday.
Though similar sounding, "The Tanaco" has nothing to do with Yankees righty Masahiro Tanaka. The item's name comes from combining the words "Taco" and "Nacho."
The Tanaco features a foot of seasoned ground beef and another foot of seasoned chicken topped with lettuce, nacho cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo and jalapenos.
It looks like the Rangers might have been influenced by the D-backs after Arizona introduced an 18-inch corn dog stuffed with cheddar cheese, jalapenos and bacon earlier this season. Whatever the case, things like this are why other countries hate us. But if other countries want to hate us for eating two feet of taco while watching America's pastime, so be it. This is how we roll! Beer Mug Sports
