Andrew McCutchen and Regene Green finally met face to face Monday. She wore a turtleneck with "Cutch 22" on it and kissed his hand. He gave her a big hug, as he took a break from batting practice with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
That's the kind of greeting you get when the reigning NL MVP invites you to batting practice to celebrate your 100th birthday.
Green turned 100 in June and her birthday announcement in the local newspaper in Chicora, Pa., said she loved the Pirates and McCutchen was her favorite player. His camp spotted it, and the Pirates star sent her a video greeting and invite:

On Sunday, we saw 105-year-old Agnes McKee throw out the first pitch at the Padres game. So Cutch superfan Regene Green should make that her next goal.
He'd probably be happy to catch it.
