A game started more than two weeks ago and 700 miles away turned into one of the oddest no-hitters in professional baseball on Monday in Rochester, N.Y.Logan Darnell threw six no-hit innings as the host Rochester Red Wings defeated the Durham Bulls 3-0 in the completion of an International League game that had been suspended last month.The game began July 24 in Durham, N.C., with three no-hit innings by Trevor May before the contest was suspended by rain. 
With the Red Wings, the Triple A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, not scheduled to make another trip to Durham this season, the league ruled the game would resume before the Bulls' four-game series in Rochester.By the time that could happen, though, May was gone. The Twins recalled the right-hander over the weekend and he allowed seven walks and lasted just two innings in a loss to Oakland on Saturday in his major-league debut.May had walked two batters in his three innings vs. Durham, and Darnell issued just one walk in his six innings to complete the no-hitter, which will go into the books as a road win for the Red Wings.Adding to the oddity was the fact that Rochester catcher Dan Rohlfing caught all nine innings 18 days apart. In between, however, Rohlfing made some pitching history of his own by recording a save when he hurled a scoreless 15th inning to help out a depleted bullpen in Louisville on Aug. 3.It was the first save by a catcher in the history of the club."I've had a pretty busy week," he told the Democrat and Chronicle.The Red Wings went on to win Monday's regularly scheduled game vs. Durham, 5-4.Fox Sports
