SAN DIEGO -- Odrisamer Despaigne allowed five hits over seven scoreless innings on Tuesday to lead the Padres to a 4-1 victory over the Rockies before a crowd of 27,188 at Petco Park.
Despaigne, who hadn't won since June 29, walked two and struck out a career-high eight to earn his third victory of the year.

Alexi Amarista and Abraham Almonte each drove in runs for the Padres, who are 15-8 since the All-Star break.
Yohan Flande took the loss for the Rockies. Flande allowed two runs on four hits in his six innings. He walked two, struck out two and got 12 ground ball outs.
Justin Morneau had two hits for the Rockies, who have dropped the first two games of this three-game series. Yasmani Grandal had two hits for the Padres, and Rymer Liriano notched his first big league hit with an infield single in the fourth.
Chris Nelson, who made a spectacular catch in the eighth, padded the lead in the bottom half with a two-run single.
