Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth was charged with reckless driving after being pulled over for going 105 mph in a 55 mph zone back in early July, according to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post. Nats Enquirer first reported the news.The incident occurred on July 6 and Werth was charged with a misdemeanor according to the court documents, says Kilgore. 
His hearing was originally scheduled for August 8, but the case has been continued until Nov. 12. The 2014 season will be over one way or another by then.Here is the team's statement, according to Kilgore:

"The Washington Nationals have been in communication with right fielder Jayson Werth regarding this situation for multiple weeks," a Nationals spokesperson said in an e-mailed statement. "Jayson is cooperating with the authorities. As it is an ongoing legal matter, the team has no further comment."Werth, 35, is hitting .279/.370/.430 (122 OPS+) with 27 doubles, 12 home runs and five stolen bases in 112 games this season.
