The Mets are changing hitting coaches, as has been suspected for days.
Hitting coach Lamar Johnson and assistant hitting coach Luis Natera have been informed they won't be returning in those roles, though word is that no replacements have been selected as of yet.
The Mets improved in the second half, but club higher-ups would still like to see improved situational hitting.

Mets dismiss hitting coaches, seek replacements

Dave Hudgens was let go in May and replaced by Johnson, a longtime coach and former major leaguer.
The bulk of the coaching staff, including bench coach Bob Geren, third-base coach Tim Teufel, first-base coach Tom Goodwin and pitching coach Dan Warthen, is expected back to work under manager Terry Collins, who will be operating in the final year of his contract in 2015.
