The Brewers have acquired first baseman Adam Lind from the Blue Jays, MLBDailyDish.com reports. CBSSports.com baseball insider Jon Heyman has confirmed the deal, and Sportsnet.ca initially reported that the two teams were close to working out a deal to send the first baseman to Milwaukee.

Brewers acquire first baseman Adam Lind from Blue Jays

The Blue Jays exercised Lind's option for $7.5 million early Saturday, but the first baseman was reported to be drawing plenty of trade interest. The Brewers had first basemen Lyle Overbay and Mark Reynolds both post OPS marks of under .700 in 2014. Lind hit 321/.381/.479 with six home runs and 40 RBI in 290 at-bats over 96 games with the Blue Jays. There is no word on who the Brewers will send to Toronto in exchange for Lind, but the Blue Jays could use some pitching help.
