The Dodgers' front office makeover continues apace, as former big-leaguer and current Fox analyst Gabe Kapler has joined the organization. Here's the team's announcement on Twitter:
Kapler, 39, spent parts of 12 seasons as an outfielder, first baseman and DH for six different teams, including the Tigers, who drafted Kapler out of Cal State Fullerton in 1995. Toward the end of his playing career, he attended Dodgers spring training in 2011.

Kapler also managed for one season in the Red Sox' minor-league system. Most recently, Kapler's shown a knack for blending his playing experience with an impressive grasp of sabermetric concepts in his role for Fox. As well, Kapler is a fitness and nutrition aficionado.
As for Gasparino, the new Director of Amateur Scouting, he joins the Dodgers after spending the last two seasons as the Padres' scouting director.
